Throughout this month we’ll be sharing sneak peek projects made with the stamps and papers which will be released to the trade by IndigoBlu in January 2016. We hope you’ll enjoy getting your first glimpses of what will be on offer – don’t forget to let us know what you think!
Hi there, it’s Marie here. I must start this post by saying that this must be some sort of faith or coincidence. At the same time as the Mixed Media Papers “After Morris” arrived at my doorstep I found an invitation for a 20´s Style Cocktail party in my mailbox. Creepy or fun? Well – the later I must say!
The After Morris collection sends thoughts to Art Nouveau, Art Deco and old wallpapers. I love the soft muted colors and the worn feeling. The papers speak for them self – they would easily fit in a frame by them self and I wouldn´t hesitate to have them on my living room wall.
I have used a lot of the new products for this page. On the background I have used my trusted IndigoBlu Gee-Sso Good! gesso together with English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paints. To add texture I applied modeling paste trough the “Texture” stencil. By combining some of the new background stamps (arrows from the Lights & Sound set and script from the Tasty Textures set) I added a rough and distressed feeling.
The new Teeny Backgrounds stamps are perfect for adding patterned to plain tags.
The tags and chipboard were all painted with English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paints.
I hope I inspired you today and made you eager to get your retailer to stock the new products when they are released in January!
