Winter Gift Bag

Hello and welcome, I’m Kay and this is my first post as one of the International Design Team, so am a little excited!

I have decorated a wooden box bag with a winter scene, using both Mega Flakes and glitter to give a crisp and frosty morning feel and have teamed the fabulous brand new Clumber Park and Rain Droplets stamps with Dancing Children.

The box was primed with GeeSso-Good! white then painted with a mix of Grandma’s Teacup and Frosty Sky. Embossing paste was coloured with Emerald City and used with the new Laurel Leaves Stencil on the top, when dry the whole box was sprayed with watered down Snow White Metallic paint.   The Dancing Children and the dog from Clumber Park were stamped onto tissue paper and the girls clothes onto Emporium of Curiosities Paper, these were then cut out.

The smaller reeds stamp from Clumber Park was stamped with green StazOn around the bottom of the box. The images on the tissue paper were applied with Slap-It-On followed by the girls clothes, shading was added.   The same stamp was used with GeeSso-Good! white to stamp over the green reeds.

FlitterGlu was worked into a piece of Phat foam and this was used to stamp the reed stamp over the white reeds, highlighted the stencilled laurel leaves and edge the top and bottom of the box then Sheffield Steel Mega Flakes applied, working on each side in turn.

The Rain Droplets image was stamped with the FlitterGlu over one side of the box and white glitter applied. This was then repeated on the other 3 sides. A tag and handles were added to finish.

I do hope this has inspired you to play with the lovely Clumber Park and Rain Droplets stamps and remember FlitterGlu is not just for Mega-flakes but works brilliantly with glitter too!

Goodbye till next time,   Kay x
