Gifts Wrapping

Hello everyone and welcome! Ksenija is here today, and I am sharing a new project featuring Triple Bauble stamp set and Christmas Compendium Mixed Media Cards.

Gifts wrapping season is approaching quickly. Have you done your Christmas gifts lists? Do you have all the packaging materials ready? I will demonstrate today how to wrap a present using IndigoBlu supplies.

I started with wrapping a box in a piece of kraft paper, stamping snowflakes border from Here Comes Santa stamp set in embossing ink twice and covering images with white embossing powder. The images were heat set to melt powder. I wrapped a white linen fabric stripe around the box and adhered it with hot glue.

I cut a rectangle out of Christmas Compendium Mixed Media card, to size 10×15 cm (4×6″) and a card panel out of card stock, to size 9,4 x 14,4 cm (3 3/4 x 5 3/4″). Firstly, I painted Mixed Media card with water diluted Goldfinger paint and let it dry. Then I stamped Script image in Potting Soil Archival Ink down on the smaller card panel and painted it with water diluted Hot Cocoa paint. I stamped Triple Bauble outline images in Potting Soil Archival Ink down on a piece of a card stock and coloured images with water diluted Postbox Red and Emerald City paints. When the images have dried completely, I stamped the sketchy outlines with FlitterGlu and applied Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes. To finish with baubles I fussy cut them out.

By this time both card panels have dried and I glued them together using hot glue. To bind visually both panels I sponged the edges with a mix of Hot Cocoa and Goldfinger paints and also sprinkled diluted Goldfinger paint for a delicate shimmer.

To add a sentiment I stamped down Merry Christmas Circle image with FlitterGlu on a piece of a card stock coloured with a mix of diluted Hot Cocoa and Postbox red paints and covered the image with Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes. I fussy cut the circle out to imitate an old postal sealing wax stamp. I also fussy cut reading Santa out of Christmas Compendium Mixed Media card.

To finish the decoration of my gift box I glued the card panels to the box using hot glue, and adhered the baubles, Santa and the circle sentiment using foam tape for additional dimension.
