Skegness Pocket Page

Hello,  its Jackie here with a ‘Pocket Page’. These are very popular at the moment especially in the USA, which means they will be happening here very soon as well!

Here is my Skegness pocket page I have made using the new Rain Droplets stamp. As a Skegness born and bred girl as soon as I saw these new stamps I knew I had to use them with the Skegness stamps, not saying it always rains in Skeggy but……..

I started by stamping in Stazon the Jolly Fisherman and the saying Skegness is so bracing, I then made a mask, by stamping on a post it and placing it on top of the image I had stamped. I inked up the new raindrops stamp using a distress ink and then gave it a little spritz of water and stamped over the image.

I left it to dry for a couple of minutes then lifted the mask off the image

The next job was paint the Jolly fisherman with IndigoBlu Artist’s Acrylic Paints.

Then ink  the card with the same distress ink as I stamped the rain drops.

Next I stamped the saying from the Skegness set of stamps put a mask over the stamped saying and stamped over with the raindrops in the same way as I did with the previous one, then inked it over with the same distress ink.

I stamped the fish and chips stamp and cut out the middle and glued it above the quote. Then I stamped the raindrops with the same distress  ink, onto the same white card and then cut them into 2″x 2″ squares.

I then inked them all over just like the other cards. I stamped out the saying on the Skegness stamps, about love to be at the seaside and cut it into segments and glued it onto the small squares. I then placed all the cards into a pocket wallet!

I hope you enjoyed finding out how I made my pocket wallet.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that this will be the last blog post from Jackie as she is stepping down from the International Design Team. Kay, Alfie, Jenny and the whole IndigoBlu team are truly grateful for all her beautiful, inspirational art and all her hard work.  As a small company we really do appreciate what she has done for us in helping to promote IndigoBlu, and we wish her every happiness in the future.
