Rainy Day Frame

One of my favourite techniques is stamping with StazOn on plastic and glass. So my first thought, when I saw the new stamp ‘Rain Droplets’, was to create a kind of frame that looks like a window covered with rain drops.

For the effect I asked my son to take a picture of me, leaning on the glass of a window. Then my printer died and the only prints I could get have been tinted with a blueish effect. But in the end, this tint turned out to look pretty.. so my tip for you is – print a similar image with a tinted effect to create the perfect look of a rainy day.

For the frame I used a simple plastic frame with a glass cover. To stamp on the glass I have chosen the white opaque StazOn, which has to be used with a fresh inked pad. If you do not own such a pad, you may also try to print the rain drops with IndigoBlu acrylic paint.

I have left a bit of a blank space in the center of the glass, so my pretty face can be seen. After the print has dried you can assemble the frame.

It is such a quick and easy idea, and will be the perfect gift for your loved ones this Christmas.

I hope you like it. Yours, Baerbel
