Christmas Snow Globe Card

Our theme this month included using the absolutely beautiful IndigoBlu mixed media Christmas papers and Red Rubber Stamps.  I had fun incorporating the two together in this fun holiday card.  Now understand that this girl is NOT A CARD girl…so this is really pushing me outside my comfort zone.  However, the Indigoblu Snow Globe Stamp definitely intrigued me….all I can see is using plastic to create a real snow globe effect…so to work I go in creating this!

First I stamped the Snow Globe Stamp.

.

I then used the plastic that my mixed media papers were in and cut out a piece that was the same shape as the globe.

I dabbed a little Indigoblu VodkaMartini Silver Paint to create a snow effect.

I used a cut piece of the Christmas Compendium Mixed Media paper for the background on the face of the card.  Additionally, I cut a small piece from one of the sheets to create the bar image across and for the final portion….I cut out the word Christmas from the front sheet of the paper pack.   Kind of upcycling….I put it all together with the snow globe to create the front of the card.

A bit of a close up of the globe portion…I used clear dots to adhere it and love the look that it gives, a little like it was meant to be.

The final card.  I really love how this came out…not bad for a NON CARD MAKER….if I do say so myself
