Everyday’s a Hollyday!

Hi everyone, it’s Elizabeth here and it’s my turn to share a project with you today using the fabulous new Clearly Holly stamps, lashings of yummy paint and a G&T!

I started by painting a couple of sheets of Perfect Stamping card with Snow White Metallic paint and making sure they were thoroughly dry, before moving onto the next stage.

Stamp out several images of the solid holly leaf using Peppermint Tea Cottage Garden paint, onto one of the now dried sheets painted with Snow White paint. Then water down some of the green Tea paint and colour the leaves, adding a little shading. Paint the berries with a small amount of Ruby Slippers Metallic paint mixed with a little white Gee-Sso-Good and leave to dry.

Once the paint is completely dry over stamp with FlitterGlu using the sketchy holly leaf, then add Gin and Tonic Mega Flakes and reveal the gorgeous holly leaves with your Scoochy pad. Cut out all the leaves and pop on one side out of the way.

Then from the other piece of card that was painted with Snow White, cut a piece 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and distress around the edges. Cut a piece of Perfect White Stamping card to 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ and distress around the edge of this piece as well. Using the remaining piece of painted card die-cut some foliage vines for the background.

Adhere the Perfect White Stamping card onto the painted piece, then carefully add some FlitterGlu to the edge of it using your Phat Foam. Add some Gin and Tonic Mega Flakes around the edge and scooch away to reveal a messy border.

Then water down a little Green Tea paint and using a small brush, splatter onto the white space in the centre of the background, and leave to dry. Once this is completely dry arrange your Die-Cut foliage and plan where your holly leaves are going to be.

Decoupaging some of the holly berries and adding on foam pads for dimension.

Then once all the parts of your card are adhered in place and a sentiment added, water down some Snow White Metallic paint and splatter over the whole of the finished card, to add a little shimmer.

So there you have it gorgeous holly leaves with with a frosty shimmer.
