Christmas Project Life card set

Hello  it’s Jackie here today and it’s my turn to share a project with you. In my project I have used a selection of the IndigoBlu paints, the new clear stamps and the very new Christmas Compendium mixed media card stock and mini postcards

I started by painting a blank 6×4 PL card with Emerald City paint, I didn’t use a brush I just pulled it across with an old store card,I then did the same with Goldfinger.

Once dry, I then did a light wash over the top with Snow White watered down.I  then inked up the Clearly IndigoBlu Triple Parcel clear stamp using the Snow White paint on a sponge and dabbing lightly. I then stamped over the card randomly.

I did the process up to here on two 4×6 cards and two 3×4 cards.

I used one of the new  Christmas Compendium Mini Postcards, and cut the pictures out to leave a frame, I inserted photos I wanted to use in my PL layout, and glued it in place.  I added gold stitching round the outside with a pen with some stamped parcels .

I put FlitterGlu and Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes onto card stock.

I stamped onto a sheet of the Christmas Compendium paper with the Triple Parcel clear stamp then over stamped with the second matching stamp ( two step stamping) with FlitterGlu then added Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes, then cut the image out and Matt and layered it using the previous card I had covered in Mega Flakes. This I placed on another 4×6 PL card I had made.

I stamped another set of Triple Parcels in the same way as before and then cut them out individually and glued them onto the 3×4 inch cards with a Happy Christmas from one of the mini postcards from the Christmas Compendium set. I cut a flag shape out of the Christmas Compendium card and stuck all the elements onto the smaller cards.

I then placed the cards in a pocket ….. And there you are a set of Project Life Christmas cards, I find making my own PL cards is so much more personal and the recipient get to keep a little bit of your art work as well as the photos!

  3. jackie, love these PL cards, the Indigo Blu paint is so vibrant, using mega flakes over a whole piece of card seems slightly scary but after seeing your results cannot wait to have a go!
