Celebrating Christmas

Hi Everyone it’s Beck Beattie here all the way from the land of Oz…. well not exactly but I am from Australia.  Today I’m going to share with you a Christmas themed Scrapbook page.

Celebrating Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere is a little different as it is actually quite hot at that time of year.  One of my dreams is to experience a white Christmas so I dream through the collection of my snowmen.  I love to put them out on display at Christmas time and although we don’t actually have a ‘Mantle’ I created a fireplace and mantle from boxes last year so we had our own Christmas Chimney captured in this photo alongside our beautiful Christmas Tree.

I just LOVE to load up our tree with lots of baubles so I just knew the Triple Bauble set of the new ‘Clearly Indigoblu’ Christmas stamps would be perfect for my page.  Layered up with more background stamping from the Snowflake lace set in silver along with some beautiful stenciled trees from texture paste as well as Indigoblu Metallic Acrylic paint in ‘Snow White’

  • Start with some background stamping with the IndigoBlu Snowflake lace  stamp using a silver ink pad
  • Add stencilled trees stencil and the Indigoblu Metallic Acrylic paint in ‘Snow White’ to the background using a sponge or baby wipe dabbed through the stencil
  • Add Stencilled trees with texture paste
  • Stamp the thicker bauble outline onto Acetate with a black permanent ink pad numerous times
  • Stamp the fine details stamp over the top with the IndigoBlu Flitterglu and promptly wash your stamp in cold water.
  • Trim roughly around the stamped area and then add the IndigoBlu ‘Winter Dawn’ Megaflake using the ‘Scribble’ to remove the excess
  • Now more closely fussy cut the baubles from the acetate and add to the page with Silicone adhesive
  • Add a die cut frame and your photo along with your title
  • Lastly add the decorative element from the Indigoblu Christmas Compendium Postcards to the bottom right of the page with some dimensional adhesive as well as some red ink splatter.

  1. Oh My Goodness!!! What an incredibly clever idea to use the acetate this way. I adore the way these all layer up so well around the frame.
