Splat Butterfly card by Gez

Hi, Gez here and welcome to a very short tutorial this week after a couple of  l o n g  ones!

I’ve made a card this week using textured cardstock for the background. First of all I stamped the script stamp from the Sarah’s Choice onto the background using white embossing powder. I wasn’t looking for a perfect stamped image so I gently rubbed some of the ink away from the stamp before stamping.

I then sprayed the background using three gorgeous English Cottage acrylic paint sprays, Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. These paints are choc full of pigment and metallic molecules, a little goes a long way. My cardstock buckled from being wet as you can see but it laid completely flat when fully dried.

I have to admit to being caught up in the moment and didn’t photograph this background again until it was mounted on my card! I was busy stamping and using the Chocolate Box MegaFlakes!!

I used the fabulous new dinkie Splat Butterfly stamp from Limor Webber and also the Circles and Rugged Edge from her Signature range.

Apologies next for a rather blurrdy photograph but it does show the beautiful shine from the MegaFlakes.

I stamped the dinkie Splat Butterfly this time onto white cardstock, added flake around the edges and the Dream sentiment then mounted the card onto a piece of Coal Black stamping card before adding it to the background.

My finished card…

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.

 Happy creating

 Happy Easter, Gez
