Ripped and Torn

Now let’s take a look at the card…

Torn 1

For this one I began by stamping the new A6 ‘Ink Splat Butterfly’ with Townhouse Teal paint. I love using the paints as a medium to stamp with as you know they won’t move once dry even when you add water or extra paint.

Torn 2

I wanted to add some dimension, so having covered a spare piece of card with a mix of Townhouse Teal, Peppermint Tea and Goldfinger paint, I tore it into strips and blended Gathered Twigs Distress Ink along the edges.  Having glued the strips in a random fashion across the card I added some machine stitching and gold paint lines using the edge of my acrylic block.

Torn 3

To return the butterflies to prominence I stamped three of them onto card backed book paper with FlitterGlu and added Chocolate Box Mega Flakes. Once fussy cut they were layered on top of the original stamped image and across the rest of the card. To finish I stamped a sentiment in the same way and splattered the whole design with the Goldfinger, Townhouse Teal and White Gee-Sso Good!

Torn 4

More CHA projects will be shared with you over the coming weeks from other members of the Design Team so keep watching for those. For now have a great weekend and whatever you’re up to take care of yourselves.
