Lost in My Thoughts

Hi it’s Gez here to share with you a canvas I created for this year’s CHA show.

I prepared the canvas by applying a layer of  White GeeSso Good! Gesso and left it to fully dry naturally.

English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paint was added randomly to the canvas with a wet paint brush, and while the canvas was full of wet paint I dabbed it gently with a ball of plastic wrap to help move the paint around and also remove a little.

Each of the buttons were painted with a layered of the same GeeSso Good! and left to air dry. Then I dabbed gently again and this time, not aiming for full coverage, I painted them with Goldfinger paint.

I also coated a piece of lace ribbon using the GeeSso Good! and adhered it into position on the canvas along with some painted paper flowers.

The new A6 ‘Lost in Thought’ stamp was stamped onto smooth cardstock and coloured using Copic markers. It was then fussy cut and added to the canvas.

I also used the new A6 ‘Ink Splat Butterfly’ stamp to stamp randomly onto a sheet of painted paper then fussy cut each one out to add to the canvas.

I love how this canvas came together and hope you do too. Thank you for calling.
