Christmas cupcake

Morning everyone, hope you’ve had a good weekend, whether you did a bit of crafting, went to see a demo or class or put your Christmas trees up!  Don’t even know when I will get round to that this year, too much going on still, and it doesn’t feel like Christmas to me yet, even though we have been showing you our Christmas stamp range for a while.

I was at Weaver Vale garden centre this saturday, and had a fab day with the lovely ladies there.  I know my colleagues were off and about all over the place too, I hope you got to catch up with some of them.

This is a card I made for them on Saturday, using Christmas tree cupcake.

I love this little cupcake stamp, it’s really versatile as you don’t have to use it for Christmas, it would make fab birthday cards, pop a sentiment over the star, or a pearl or something, glitter it up, and away you go.

The background was stamped in adirondack lights, I used juniper, to give a pale background, and it’s the honeycomb background stamp.  I then took a spray bottle of goldfinger, took the spray nozzle out, and used it to flick paint at the card.

The panel is edged with Chariot of fire megaflakes.  I stamped the cupcakes in stayzon claret, and coloured them slightly with ruby slippers and emerald city Indigoblu cottage paints, watered down on my mat.  This gave a little shimmer to the star and berries.

Dinkie Noel was also stamped in stazon claret, and edged in Chariot of fire megaflakes.

It was all layered onto some lovely green glitter card to reflect the honeycomb background, and the cupcakes layered with sticky pads.

Next Saturday I will be doing my last Indigoblu demo for this year, at Strikes Garden Centre, Astbury Meadow, Congleton, I’d love it if you could join me.

Have a happy week,

Best Wishes,

Nikki K. xx
