All at Sea

Morning everyone,

Today I’m sharing an Indigoblu Mannequin that I made for the Craft Stamper Blog Challenge, it was my DT piece for stamping on tissue.

First you paint the mannequin and stand with gee ssoo good, and then the paint colour you want to use, the lighter the better.  I used banana custard and pantry white mixed, to get a buttermilk kind of colour.

Using normal 3 ply tissue, I stamped the shells and waves from Under the Sea, tore them out of the tissue, and then put slap it on onto the mannequin, applied the tissue, and went back over with more slap it on, to hold the tissue down.  Once this dries, you get a lovely stamped mannequin with little effort.

I stamped the sea grass onto card, and cut them out individually.  I added this as a skirt, and then thought she would be lovely with wings, so I used them for that as well.  A couple of shells hides her modesty, and makes a great top.  She was then embellished with a starfish bead on the top, and some lace coloured with distress inks.

Hope you like her.

And this week of course, you can see Indigoblu at the NEC, from Thursday to Sunday, with Kay demonstrating the fab new stamps and paints, and much more!

Have a great week,

Much love,

Nikki K. xx
