Well it is spider season..

Morning everyone, beginning of another week.

I’ve seen some of the pictures on facebook recently of spider’s people are finding in their homes, I’m so glad I haven’t come across one yet, although as I say this, I’m sat in the dark in the living room typing this ahead of time. . .

On that note, I thought I’d use the lovely spider and web from the Hocus Pocus stamp set, and bring you a triple time stamped card.

If you aren’t sure what that means, it’s just that you layer three pieces of card one on top of the other, stamp across all three, and then separate them, and layer them up onto a contrasting colour, but so you can still see the pattern you have created.

It’s nice and simple, but quite effective.  I’ve used the crackleglaze background stamp across the layers in Tattered Rose distress ink, and then Stayzon Claret to stamp the spider.  All I did to finish it was to add some distress stickles, to the centre of the webs, and the body of the spider.

Well I hope you don’t come across too many Boris’s with boots on this week, have a good one!

Best Wishes,

Nikki K.

  1. Awesome card! It’s such a cool technique and I love the colour you have done the stamping in. We have had a few large eight legged visitors and I am sure there will be more! xxx

  2. I do like this technique and the card looks fab. We’ve had some whopping spiders around-apparently the good summer has helped them to grow large this year!!! Thank you, Jan
