Technique Day – Christmas Wrapping

Hi everyone and welcome. Jenny here with some ideas for wrapping those Christmas gifts using the current Christmas stamp releases from IndigoBlu. I’ll show you some of the techniques/ideas first before revealing my finished present selections…

Wrapping 1

Use Pantry White English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paint to stamp one of the small stockings from the Big Merry Christmas A6 stamp set onto ribbon – even sheer ribbon!

Wrapping 2

Stamp the Noel Dinkie A7 stamp onto a kraft tag using Postbox Red English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paint for a really sharp image.

Wrapping 3

Use the Pantry White Paint mentioned above to stamp the Holly Berry A6 stamp repeatedly across a kraft bag on both sides to add a festive border.

Wrapping 4

Repeat stamp the Big Merry Christmas stamp also mentioned above over kraft paper either with the same Postbox Red paint or with permanent ink to create wrapping paper or (as in this case) for creating a gift box.

Wrapping 5

Stamp and emboss the Holly Bow A6 stamp with white embossing powder before painting selected areas with a fine paint brush and some Ruby Slippers English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paint. Once painted glue the two ends together to form a ring and layer over a second bow for added interest.

Wrapping 6

And here you have the finished presents all ready to go. I’ve combined the  bag, gift tag and ribbon with some added ribbon strips and faux berries from last year’s crackers. The stamped paper has been made into a box (there are plenty of tutorials out there for this) and added  some twine and a die cut snowflake, complete with a circular centre created by stamping the Merry Christmas Circle Dinkie A7 stamp with permanent red ink. And finally the Holly Bow ring fits perfectly over a bottle of wine (which you’ll need to supply of course)!

I hope that’s given you a few ideas for making wrapping your presents more affordable and personal this year. Do let us know if you have your own ideas as I know you’re an imaginative and talented bunch of crafters out there.

Take care of yourselves, Jenny xxx
