Oh I do like to be…..

Morning everyone,

I wonder what the weather is going to bring today – I hope you were safe in all that rain on Saturday, and enjoyed a bit of sun yesterday!

I had a fab day on Saturday at Brookside Garden Centre in Poynton again, hello to the lovely ladies there.  We have had demo’s on all over the place – hope you managed to catch one, or Kay at the Doncaster Dome?

I was trying to stay away from the Christmas stamps today, (it’s very hard as they are yummy!) so here is a little card made with just two shades of distress ink, spiced marmalade, and rusty hinge.

First I cut a panel of card, and die cut a circle, which I placed on top of the card with some stick and spray removable glue.  I then used an ink blender to put spiced marmalade all over the card, bringing it in to the circle gently, so it left a haze round it.

I then cut a wavy shape from a piece of leftover card, and used the edge as a base for a hill, using rusty hinge on the bottom to make it darker.

I stamped the helter skelter, sentiment and birds from ‘skegness’.  I added the clouds across the sun with a paintbrush, by rubbing the ink pad upside down on my craft mat, and spritzing the ink with water, to make a watercolour.

It’s then matted onto black card, and onto a white card blank.

Hope you have a lovely week, don’t forget to check out the website for new stamps, workshops, and all the demo’s coming up, our lovely demonstrator’s are out all over the country!

Best Wishes,

Nikki K.

xx
