MEGA flakes!

Good morning everyone,

It’s a megaflakefest this morning, I love them, don’t you?

Did you know we have thirteen colours of fabulous flakes?  You can find them all here, including the new and amazing Chocolate Box colour.

My card today is an easel card.  A very easy way of making an easel card is to score a normal A4 piece of paper down the middle to make a normal card fold, and then take one side, and score it down the middle again.  This gives you the fold to stick your images too, and the base to put a ‘stopper’ on for the easel.

easel bottom

For the stopper on my card, I used the bottom of the trees on the ‘Winter Wonderland‘ stamp, it just had a lovely frosty feel.  It is flitterglued and flaked in ‘Morris Dance‘ flakes.

For the sides of my easel card, I used dinkie snowflake bauble, and dinkie teardrop bauble, all in morris dance flake to tie in, on black card.  If you need black card that is really coal black for stamping with flakes, Indigoblu have just that!  I prefer it to the card used here, just some I had in my stash, but it really doesn’t do it justice!

easel corner

The main panel is stamped with ‘Connor’s Crown Jewels‘.  You know this stamp is named after one of  the lovely lads who makes your stamps for you?

This stamp is awesome in megaflakes, the detail is amazing.  So there you have it, your easel card is done, you could add a sentiment like the little and very versatile dinkie merry christmas circle, or leave it to speak for itself.

Have a fab week everyone,

Best Wishes,
