Christmas Puddin

Hi everyone Julie here again for my second IndigoBlu blog post. Today I have created something special for you all for my Guest Designer spot, hope you think my pudding is yummy!

white card, kraft card or brown card, stamping card, red ribbon 20cm, blazing red stazon ink pad, clear embossing ink pad, green dye based ink pad (I used old olive, stampin up).

Colour soft pencils Derwent

silver pear; embossing powder

Frantage, shabby white embossing powder

liquid pearls , dark chocolate

pinflair 3d glue, narrow foam and red tape.

Acetate square

shrink plastic,clear


To start  die cut three circles, 2 from the kraft card and 1 from the white card, and another one from the acetate. Make a frame by cutting out the middle of one of the kraft card circles, make sure the border is equal. Stamp the holly bow with dye based ink and colour in, I have used Derwent colour soft pencils. Shape the leaves by cutting around them and shape using a ball tool and mat. Stamp Holly berry onto a 7 inch square for the background using the olive ink pad. Cut out “cream” from the white circle, cover with embossing ink add embossing powder and melt, mind your fingers!, then sprinkle frantage onto the drips and heat from underneath, this will stop the powder from blowing away.

Cut a tag from shrink plastic don’t forget the hole for the ribbon, making sure your script fits on the tag nicely.  Stamp the script using Stazon ink, this is slippery, then shrink- I used a heat gun, again mind those fingers! I love watching the miracle happen. When cool thread ribbon through the hole. Next use the liquid pearls to make the spots on the pudding, I let mine dry overnight. Stick the acetate to the frame, put the double sided foam tape onto this, make sure it doesn’t show Put glitter onto the full circle in a small heap in the middle, rub an antic static bag over the acetate to stop the glitter sticking to it.

Stick top to base, don’t sneeze!! mat onto stamped card. Add the tag, and the holly bow and stick onto a 8×8 inch card


Ta Da ……… finished!   Hope you like it.
