All Brand New!!!

Hi everyone and welcome to another Saturday here at IndigoBlu, and not just any Saturday… oh no. Exciting news! IndigoBlu have just released some brand new stamps and they are GORGEOUS!!!

Before I show you a couple of them in action though, let’s start by giving you a ‘heads up’ about the IndigoBlu demos taking place this Saturday 18th October (and there are lots); Lydia Tarry will be at The Mulberry Bush, Thatcham; Kay Molyneux will be at Albright of Diss; Elizabeth Robinson will be at High Legh Garden Centre, Knutsford; Nikki Killinger will be at Brookside Garden Centre, Poynton; Clare Horner will be at Houghton Hall Garden Centre, Carlisle and I’ll be at Back 2 Craft, Brownhills, Walsall.

Want more? Kay and the IndigoBlu team will be at Stamp Magic, The Dome, Doncaster on Sunday 19th October with all your favourite IndigoBlu goodies, including those new stamps. And you’ll be pleased to hear there are more demo’s coming in future weeks; head over to the Events Tab on the IndigoBlu website to check out when one of the team will be near you.

Now for some of those new stamps…

Peppermint Splatter 1

Let’s start by saying ‘on the record’ that the A6 Holly Berry stamp has to be one of my all time favourite Christmas designs. Colour it, flake it, emboss it, paint it, stamp lots (or just one) and keep it whole or chop it up – this is a design with versatility built in. I chose to use it in a couple of ways for this card and loved how it looked when finished.

Peppermint Splatter 2

This card started by heat embossing Holly Berry with white embossing powder on one side of the background. This provided the perfect resist when spritzing over it with diluted Frosty Sky and Peppermint Tea English Cottage Artist’s Acrylic Paint. For a touch more interest I flicked diluted Miss MoneyPenny and Goldfinger Paint over the top.

The perfect accompaniment for these paint colours is Yorkshire Dales Mega Flakes with hints of copper and gold mixed in with those gorgeous greens. And I broke a rule with these;  normally I stamp words/lettering with the single coloured flake so they stand out more clearly, but the beauty of the new Dinkie Christmas Script 2 is that it has been designed with flake in mind. This means the multicoloured flavours work! And matching up with the sentiment with some flaked, fussy cut Holly Berry added those essential (to me) layers.

Need to get your special cards made? Remember, I’m running a one day workshop on 29th November making IndigoBlu Christmas cards so make sure you join me there.

Well, as this goes live I’ll be starting my first demo at Back 2 Craft in Brownhills, Walsall so if you’re in the area it would be great to see you. Hope you have a great weekend and whatever you’re up to, take care of yourselves.
