Technique Thursday: How to clean Flitterglu off Rubber Stamps

Hi everyone Clare here,

Today I have a video for you showing you how to clean your rubber stamps when they get gammed up with FlitterGlu. After all my demonstrations, DT work and class’s mine get pretty bad so once in a while I give them a good clean and this is how I do it.

Speaking of class’s and workshops, have you seen the fabulous news! IndigoBlu have now got a fully working class/workshop room, and we have class’s for you to book! How awesome is that! We have a few listed so far but we have allot more coming and plan to have something going on every weekend!

We are also Having a Coffee Morning for McMillan on the 26th of September, so do pop on by for a make-n-take with Kay and myself and a cuppa! Don’t forget your donation too!

Thanks for visiting

  1. Thanks for the video. Can you use the stampcleaner on acrylic stamps also or is it best not to because it will ” eat ” them.
    Kind regards Veerle

    • Hi Veerle it is a solvent so I would not recommend its use on clear stamps.

  2. Thanks. How would you recommend to clean the clear stamps. I love the flakes but the struggle to take of the clue is the reason I take them out so little 🙁 I put them immediately into water, let them soak, rub them with a tootbrush and some soap and rince. But stil then I have to repeat everything because my stamps are still sticky 🙁
    Kind regards,

    • I don’t recommend using it with clear stamps for that reason, you cant use stamp cleaner on them. Good rub while its still wet with a baby wipe helps.
