Connor’s Crown Jewels!!

Happy Wednesday to you ……

Back to normal today ….. that’s too much to do and not enough time to do it in!!!  It’s my own fault I suppose ….. I need to stop flying over to the UK!

Anyway ….. I’m back on the island, the craft room door is open again (just!) and I’m ready to go.

I’ve got a nice, simple Christmas card idea for you today using one of the new festive designs …… Connor’s Crown Jewels

082

This is such a beautiful stamp and it will look different each time you use it, depending on the colour you use, or the background you choose.

I’ve gone for the simple approach with this one ….. stamped in Black Versafine and embossed with clear powder, over a pretty icy effect background.  Check out tomorrows Technique Day post for how I did the background ….. it’s so simple to do and great for Christmas cards.

Add a few pearls or gemstones to the baubles,  and some pretty co-ordinating ribbon to finish and you’re done.  Great for when you’ve got lots of cards to make.

Stamp the image onto black cardstock using Flitter Glu,  flake with Chariot of Fire and Sheffield Steel Mega Flakes, and you get a completely different look …. so classic and elegant

Again, really quick and easy to do, great for batch cards.  The only time consuming bit is placing the Mega Flakes when using two different shades …. try not to use too much, because when you scoochy off the excess the colours will mix.  Speaking of flakes ….. watch this space!   Could there be a new colour coming out soon? ……. (zip!) I’m saying no more!!

I added a border of the Snowflake Lace, flaked in the same way, as a nice contrast across the bottom

And again on the inside ……

Thanks for popping by …… have a great day!  The sun’s shining again here today ……. the Indian Summer continues!  As does our current challenge.  You’ve still got time to get your entries in, the challenge doesn’t close until 8pm on Saturday.  As always there’s a fab prize up for grabs but ….. you have to be in it, to win it!!

Cheerio until next time
