Technique Thursday: Flake Resist

Hi Everyone Clare here,

It is Technique Day yayyyyy! I love technique day and today it is my turn. I have made you all a little video of my technique today, I hope you like it

Here is the finished tag, ready for a sentiment and a ribbon. I always do the sentiment just before I add tags to packages as they are done specifically with the individual in mind.

  1. why would you want to waste gilding flakes for resist technique? wouldn’t it be cheaper to clear emboss and then melt it away?……. just wondering xx

    • You use so little its not really a waste, when you factor in time and effort it is actually more efficient and it is just another way of using it other than the standard. I actually found it by accident when I flaked something and didn’t like the colour of flake I had used to wanted to change it. I liked the resisted look!

  4. I think the reason is works so well is it really looks extra grungy, whereas with the clear emboss, it’s a more polished look, y’know? Looks great Clare x
