Mixing the old with the new …..

Morning folks,

Happy Wednesday to you.  Yes I’m back from my holidays, and raring to go.  Well …. until later today that is …. when I’m off again.  No quite so far afield this time, just a short flight across to the UK for a few days.

Before I go to finish off my packing though, I have a little something for you to get you in the festive mood.  Yes I know it’s only July, and we’re all enjoying the nice weather but, it’ll be here before you know it ….. sorry to say!   And, now’s a good time to get into the festive spirit …… our latest Blog Challenge is all about Christmas in July.

Not only that IndigoBlu have recently launched the first of this years Christmas stamp designs.  Have you seen them yet?  You can find them all on the website so you’ve no excuse ….. come on, let’s get festive!

I used one of the new stamp designs here, the beautiful new Snowflake Lace,  along with some images from previous releases …… Here Comes Santa for the trees in the background, and ‘Looks Like Rain, Dear’ one of last year’s designs, for the two deer silhouettes.

The snowflakes have been stamped randomly around the edge of a piece of black cardstock, using Flitter Glu, and then I’ve used Winter Dawn flakes over the top, to create the look of a frame around the edge

Using a mask cut from a piece of copier paper I stamped the trees across a piece of white card, using black Versafine ink.  A touch of fine crystal glitter gives them a nice wintery feel.

I stamped the cute little deer, added a touch more glitter ……

and finished off with a Christmas sentiment, stamped in festive red

More of the snowflakes have been stamped inside the card ….. again using the flake on the black card, and also just with the black ink on the white.

A nice, reasonably simple to make, classic Christmas card …… are you feeling festive yet?

Well, that’s it from me this week …… I’ve got a plane to catch!

Thanks for popping by …. enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time
