Monday Mannequin. .

Morning everyone, doesn’t Monday come round quick!  I hope you’ve had a good weekend.  I was at Strikes Garden Centre at Weaver Vale on Saturday, and met some lovely ladies, had a great day.

Today I thought I’d share a mannequin with you that I made the  week before, at Astbury Meadow.

mannequin 1

I first painted her with Gee Sso Good gesso in white, and then a coat of Pantry White Cottage paint.

You take some normal everyday tissues, I used 3 ply, and stamped Rose Blush in Versafine Toffee, and Onyx black mixed.  Cut round your stamping leaving just a little edge, and then separate the ply, so you are left with just the top layer you stamped on.

mannequin 2

Take some slap it on, and paint the mannequin in the area you want to put the tissue, first.  Lay the tissue on carefully, and gently go over with more slap it on, to seal it to the mannequin.  Leave to dry.

mannequin 3

I added a door knob to the head, and embellishments from the garden centre I bought on the day, to her arms, and the base.  Some beautiful self adhesive lace finishes her off.  She is simple, but effective I think.

Look who wanted to take a look while I was taking photo’s!

My cheeky cat Magic!

Well have a good week everyone, I think I might be back with you on Thursday for technique day, so I’m off to see what I can rustle up for you 🙂

Best Wishes,

Nikki K. xx
