Morning everyone,  hope you’ve had a good weekend, the weather was a little hit and miss but not too bad, managed to get out with friends and puppy dogs yesterday in the woods.  Beautiful bluebells out at the moment, thought I would share.

So from Bluebells to Tulips, for my card this week I have used the brand new Tulip stencil, that Kay had on the show on Weds on Create and Craft, this was one of my show samples.

First I sprayed an A4 piece of perfect stamping card with townhouse teal, wimberry pie, and Vodka Martini Cottage Paints.  This gave me a beautiful shimmery background.

I then used stencil tape to hold the tulip stencil at the bottom of my background, and used Peacock feathers distress ink over the stencil, to create the graduated outline.  I heat set the ink as it was on top of the painted background.

Peel away the stencil, and voila, a lovely tulip border.  The word bloom was added with flitterglu and Sheffield Steel megaflakes, on small squares, using the new Design Alphabet stamp set.

I matted and layered this, and laid it on the card in an arch shape.

Hope you like it, don’t forget to have a go with your Cottage paints, and if you haven’t ever bought any, these paints are absolutely beautiful for backgrounds, stamping, painting mdf shapes, almost anything really, you can use them on metal even.

Have a  good week,

Best Wishes,

Nikki K.
