Another taste of spring…

Good morning everyone,

It is my turn on the blog again and I thought that I would show you a couple of makes using  Nottingham Lace stamp set.  I love this stamp plate it is so versatile, you can do so much with it.

I have made a couple of totally different cards, the first one using the  Poinsettia stamp as well and in one of my favourite colours too to work with purples…..

Although this is designed as a poinsettia it can be used for any occasion flowers as you can see below. I also used the Square peg round hole stamp and masked off the centre to add the sentiment from the Nottingham Lace set…….

I spritzed the background using Wimberry Pie  and Townhouse Teal acyrilic paint and stamped the lace border top and bottom…..

Here is a closer look at the flowers, I painted them with a little watered down Wimberry Pie paint, cut them out and after attaching them I added a pearl in the centre of each…

For the next card I chose to do it in lovely spring green colours, I love this time of year when everything bursts in to life around us all and this is what inspired this card along with the tulip of course which screams spring…

This card was purely using the Nottingham Lace stamp set, I stamped the card blank top and bottom with the lace stamp…..

Again I masked off a circle and stamped the tulip over the top of it and embossed it, I then stamped and embossed the wording.

I next made a reverse circle stencil from card the same size as the mask and worked my inks through it to give a soft hue around the wording.

It was simply then cut out, matt and layered and attached to the card.

Here is a closer look…

Well I hope that you like my spring inspiration, mind you the weather is not very spring at the moment but a little birdy told me that we are in for a mini heat wave so I will hang on to that thought!

Until next time, keep crafting…
