You’ve been framed ……

Happy Wednesday folks!

Did you all remember to set your alarms this morning to catch Kay on Create and Craft?   A bit of an early one but …. what a way to start the day! Great show ….. fab demo from Kay and lots of great samples from the DT too.

So, what do you all think of the new stamps then ….. I love em!  And those metallic paints are just gorgeous, I hope you all did your shopping early because I think they may have sold out on C&C ….. don’t hold me to that that though …. check out the C&C website or …… go to the IndigoBlu Website, you can find details of all the new products on there too.

I’ve got a cute little frame for you today, using the new Under the Sea stamps and I’ve also sneaked in the brand new Design Alphabet too …. I believe this is on this afternoon’s show (1pm)

What do you think?  I’ve created a little underwater scene, using the stamps, in my frame, but you could use it to hold a holiday snap or a favourite photo from a day at the beach maybe.

The frame itself was made from grungeboard cut using the Postage Stamp Frame Alterations Die from Sizzix.  I cut five layers in total, cut the centres out of four of them and left one full to form the back of my frame.

Using a good strong glue, I stuck the four cut out frames together to give some depth to the frame and then attached it to the back piece.  It was then given a coat of white Gee Sso Good! and then painted using Grandma’s Teacup English Cottage Acrylic paint

I finished off by dry brushing a tiny bit of White Gee Sso Good! over the top and went around the edges with a bit of Stormy Sky Distress ink.

The panel in the centre was done on a piece of white cardstock, cut to size first.  I inked the card using Distress inks then used the stamps from Under the Sea to create the scene …… the seaweed, and the bubbles ……. to which I added glossy accents and a touch of glitter

and the cute little seahorse ….. stamped and embossed with clear detail powder and then coloured using the new metallic paints.

I added more bubbles around the frame …..

and finished off by adding some of the pretty stamped shells to the bottom, a couple of bits and pieces from my stash, and the word ‘SEA’ stamped using the letters from the new Design Alphabet

What a fab set this is ….. so useful.  And there’s a co-ordinating set of  Design Numbers too.  You’ll never be lost for words again!

Well that’s it from me today.  I’ve just got time to put the kettle on, grab a sandwich and settle down on the sofa for another hour with Kay.

Thanks for popping by …. enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time
