Nottingham Lace Love

The shop at HQ in Retford will be open this weekend from 10a, to 4pm. It is retreat weekend and we still have a couple of places on each day if you have a free weekend, the projects this year are amazing!

Hello everyone.  I’m so so excited to be here doing my first ever blog post for Indigoblu! Yay!!!  Hope you’ll bear with me as I get to know my way around everything! I was so excited when I was asked last November to join the Indigoblu team and I’m so happy to be able to be here now sharing my makes with you and hopefully you will enjoy looking at them all too.

I thought that I would show you all some of my cards that were on the recent create and craft shows with Kay, using the beautiful new release stamp sets nottingham-lace and more-than-words.

I have done this card in a very simple design but it shows so beautifully all the detail in the border stamp in the nottingham-lace set, for this card I have matted and layered a dark blue piece of card stock with indigoblu-indigoblu-perfect-stamping-card on to a 6 x 6 card blank, then stamped the border on the top and bottom of the perfect stamping card using sky blue brilliance ink pad, I have then stamped one of the brilliant sentiments from the more than words set, matted and layered with the same dark blue card stock and placed in the middle of the card  finishing off with some blue pearl gems.

For my second make to share with you all I thought I would show you this card using the lovely tulip from the nottingham-lace set and one of the very quirky sentiments from more-than-words set I love to use black and red I think it gives a lovely effect, I have matted and layered black and red card stock and then cut my perfect stamping card to fit in the layered black card, I then stamped my tulip flower with memento ink pad at the bottom of the card and coloured in using my spectrum noir pens. Stamped the sentiment onto the perfect stamping card with archival and matted and layered it with the red and black and placed it at the top the card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my first post for Indigoblu, be back soon Laura x x x
