Decorative Glass Technique Day

Hi everybody,

Laura here again.   Today I have a post for you sharing a little technique using stamps and paints on glass.

First I’ve started with two small sheets of glass size 2 x 2 inch.

1

On one sheet I’ve painted it using english-cottage-paint-pantry-white and english-cottage-paint-metallic-gold

2

While that sheet is drying,  I’ve got the second sheet of glass and used the bubbles stamp, from the under-the-sea set, down the sides of the piece of glass.   I’ve used a brilliance ink pad to stamp with and given it a blast with the heat gun to set it,  just incase I smudge it!

3

Back to the painted glass …..  turn the glass over so that the painted side is on the back (non painted side up) and using this adorable sea horse from the same  stamp set (under the sea)  I stamped using the same brilliance ink pad,  onto the middle of the glass sheet,

4

I then placed the sheet of glass with the bubbles on, over the top of  the sea horse so they give the image a 3d effect.

5

I’ve then placed the two sheets of glass into a frame to finish it off.

I  hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post.   See you again soon.
