Spring is in the air……

Good Morning Everyone,

Lisa.B. here and this is my first official post for IndigoBlu so I hope that you will bear with me as

I  get to know my way around this blog!

I was extreemly excited when Kay asked me to get involved with indigoBlu as I adore her stamps and love the innovative products that Kay comes up with and I hope that you will enjoy my journey with IndigoBlu as much I will……

As you get to know my work you will notice that I like to use lots of different mediums but one of my passions along with colour is embossing powders….I love to use them in every form and to use them on all sorts of media projects……

I thought I would start by showing  you a couple of the samples that I made for Kay for the NEC Trade show this year.

The first one that I made was using the lovely stamp Rose Blush code: IND104……I  love this stamp as it has so many possibilities…..

I also used  the dinky flourish , A6 Honeycomb Background  and the A6 Script Background.

The background was worked with a combination of Pan Pastels  ( bright Yellow Green and Turquoise Shade) and Weathered Wood Distress ink.

For the main image and the florish I stamped with a Black Onyx Versafine pad and then embossed with a Wow Clear Sparkle powder and then coloured the flowers with Pro-Markers.

Have a look and see what you think……

A little closer look at the details…………

For the next sample I apologise for the quality of the main photo as I took these and then sent them off to Kay and then realised that I did not have a clear photo of the main card, however the close up is in focus!!

For this card I used the IndigoBlu Dinkie and Big Butterly stamps and also the Script Background and Dinkie Florish again.

I worked the background with the same Pan Pastel colours…… I was in a green and blue mood on this particular day, lol!

For the dinkie florish background I used Weathered Wood and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.

I did a resist with the script background usinf Wow Bright White embossing powder.

See what you think…….

Well that is about all from me for now……until next time……
