Time …. for a change

Happy Wednesday,

It’s actually sunshining over here today – whoo hoo!!    The wind is still blowing mind, but at least it looks nice out there.

Speaking of sunshine ……. my card for you today is a nice bright design, not my usual colour choice but ….. it’s always nice to have a change.

I’ve used one of the fab new stencils from IndigoBlu ….. the clock face, along with the Good Times stamp set and I’ve also sneaked one of the co-ordinating Altered Egos on there to.  These are great little additions to add all of your projects, and the good thing is they don’t weigh anything so you can also put them onto your card designs like I’ve done here.

I cut down an 8×8 scalloped square cardblank to measure approximately A5 size (8×6 inches).  You can see I left one of the scalloped edges on the card to add a bit more interest.

I then cut pieces of white and black cardstock, so that they fit comfortably onto the front of my cardblank.

The white card was then coloured using Distress inks – Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed and a touch of  Spiced Marmalade to warm it all up.  Once I was happy with the colours I then spritzed the card with water, let it sit for a couple of seconds then mopped up the excess with kitchen roll, leaving that lovely mottled effect.

Next I used the clock face stencil across the whole of the right hand side of the card along with the Picked Raspberry Distress ink – I love this design, how it appears to be at an angle.

The cogs are from the Good Times stamp set and have been stamped using Black Versafine ink, and then heat embossed with Clear Powder ….

I added a strip of card to the left hand side, that had been coloured using the same Distress inks then overstamped with the jumbled numbers from the stamp set, again another fab stamp, great for doing backgrounds and accent pieces.

The clock face is one of the Altered Egos, painted with the IndigoBlu Black GeeSso Good.  You can see that the sentiment fits perfectly in the centre (anyone would think these stamp sets were planned!!)  I’ve actually stamped mine on a seperate piece of card, embossed using the clear powder again, and cut it out using a Nestabilities die, which also fits perfectly in the centre.

A touch of Flitter Glu and Mega Flakes around the edges adds a little bit of shine, and of course I had to do the inside too……..

DSCF6328Same colours of ink, same techniques and one of the clock faces from the Good Times set ties it all together.

Hope you like it.

Is the sun shining where you are? …… I do hope so.  I think it’s time that Spring was on it’s way don’t you!

Thanks for popping by today ….. enjoy the rest of your week.

Cheerio until next time …..
