Dance like no one is watching you journal page

Hi everyone, Clare here. Today I have for you a journal page that I have completed in my positivity journal. A good friend of mine is writing down every day one word to represent something positive from that day. Knowing myself really well I know that after about a week I wont bother to do it every single day so I decided to just take a small journal, 14cm x 9cm, and do a page at least once per week. Because it is a small journal it is easily doable.

To begin I used the Gee-Sso Good white gesso and primed the page, the paper in the journal is really thin so it needs to be primed or else it will wear through and rip with the paint techniques I regularly use. Next I used the Pantry White, banana Custard and Peppermint Tea IndigoBlu paints to create a background.

After working on the background I used the music stencil with some lightweight wall filler, you really need to let this dry thoroughly before doing anything with it or it will flake off. I sprayed the whole thing with lucky apple and golden nugget luminarte primary elements pigment powders mixed with water into a spray bottle. These are available from the shop at IndigoBlu but are not on the website yet. I am sure if you ring them they can get them added to any orders you might make if you want them. Next I stamped a sneaky peek hint edge of a brand new as yet released stamp around the edges with vintage sepia Versafine ink. Stuck down the image which is from a vintage postcard I have, stamped the flock of birds from the new Nature 2 plate and finished with my signature doodle around the edge.
