Blue Monday?

Hi all,

Well according to the tv, it’s blue monday today.  I don’t know about you but I could never be blue when I’m crafting, I find it really lifts you, channels your thoughts, and is just a great stress relief.  Of course, when you stop life is still there, so my advice would be don’t stop crafting.. . lol.

I hope it’s not too blue a day for you today, the sun is shining here, it’s a bit chilly but I’m definitely off out in the sun in a while to visit friends.

My blog is a little late this morning, mainly as I was enjoying myself, and got carried away making. . .

Here is a card with some brighter colours, to bring a bit of winter sunshine.

bicycle corner

I started with a piece of white perfect stamping cardstock, and coloured it with distress inks in scattered straw, salty ocean and mowed lawn.  I then stamped English Flourish around the edges and sides, and the lovely Penny Farthing dinkie stamp, that I hadn’t had chance to use before, but I really like this one.

I finished with stamping the verse, and discover and explore from  Grand Tour II.  I edged the sayings with salty ocean distress ink, and layered onto coal black perfect stamping card.

I had fun with this, the English Florish stamp came out so crisp and clear, as they all do, but it was the first time I’d used this one, and the bicycle.

I think I have a new favourite background stamp. . .

Well have a lovely week, and don’t forget the Indigoblu Challenge fininshes later today, and the new one starts tomorrow.  You still have a few hours to get that entry in!  – And wow, I’ve just looked, there are some great entries!

Best Wishes,

Nikki K
