Anyone for Domino’s?

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to the winner’s of Kay’s ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ post on FB, so many giveaways at the moment, it must be nearly Christmas!

Don’t forget you still have this week to enter this month’s competition over on the Challenge blog.

For today I thought I would show you a few pendants I have made, with simple domino pieces as the base.

The first one is a mini domino, painted with grandma’s teacup paint, using a babywipe to blot the paint on to give a lighter effect.  Then I stamped Large Snowflake in black versafine, and sealed the domino with slap it on and a sprinkling of glitter.

On top, a layer of Ice Resin, and voila!

The second I stamped Summer Lovin’ onto perfect stamping card, and coloured with Caran D’ache waterproof pencils.  I then cut round and glued the card to the surface of the domino with Flitterglu, and sealed with slap it on.  Ice resin was added to give a nice doming effect and seal the pendant beautifully.

And finally, another painted domino, this time with Hot Cocoa and Townhouse Teal, again with a babywipe to lighten the effect.  I stamped Stitched Curls in Stayzon Ganache, and sealed with Slap it on.  It’s coated with resin again, giving it a glossy domed effect.

I hope you like these little cuties, they are very simple to make, and I look out for domino’s at Car boots, charity shops etc, so it’s a really cost effective and easy way of making jewellery for yourself.  A brooch bar or a glue on bail turns it into wearable art, not to mention a great last minute Christmas present.

Hope the week ahead is good for you, and not too stressful at this time of year.

Best Wishes,

Nikki K.
