One for the Boys

Good afternoon everyone,

Late again,  I know ………. Things are not going according to plan this week, but when does that ever happen eh?!

Forget everything I said last week about Kay being back on our screens again at the weekend.  It’s all change I’m afraid …… no show on Saturday (boo hoo!)  but the good news is it hasn’t been cancelled altogether, it’s been moved to the 7th December (yeah!). You’ll just have to wait that little bit longer to see the latest additions to the IndigoBlu collection.  Don’t worry ……. it’ll be worth it!

Like I said, the plan this week was to share a few sneaky peeks at some of the new products coming up but, better not tease you all too soon eh!  So what have I got for you ………

Well, I thought we’d have a change this week and do something with the guys in mind.  This is another of my samples I did for the NEC, using Kroma Crackle covered card to make my own embellies

You can see I’ve die cut the Crackled card using the Sizzix Alterations die – Gadget Gears, and mixed in some of the same cut from black cardstock.

I stamped the IndigoBlu Map Background onto some Kraft cardstock (a great stamp to use on mens cards I think), using Sepia Versafine ink, then added some of the ink spots from the Ledger Background  randomly over the top using Black Versafine.

I then took a piece of cream cardstock and blended Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress inks around the edges, leaving the centre untouched.  I then flicked water over the top, left it to sit for a few seconds then mopped up the excess using kitchen roll.   I then stamped the ink splats again over the corners, and spritzed the card lightly using  Pumice Stone re-inker diluted with water.

The IndigoBlu Dinkie Penny Farthing was stamped onto black cardstock using the Flitter Glu and then covered with Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes. I then fussy cut the image and attached it to my card front using foam pads.

The sentiment is from the Grand Tour III stamp set, and I’ve just stamped using Sepia ink, cut it out in a banner, added a bit of shape to it using a bone folder and then attached it to my card using hot glue.  A bit of matting and layering  – job done!!

If you’re anything like me, men’s cards are not my favourite thing to make but, we all have them to do from time to time.  Hope this gives you some ideas.

Well that’s it from me today.  I still need to put the finishing touches to my inspiration piece for the  new IndigoBlu challenge tomorrow.  Yes it’s that time of the month again ……. have you entered the current one yet?  There’s still a little time left if you’re quick …… you have until 8pm this evening to get your Chocolate Orange entries in.

Thanks for popping by today, enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.

See you all tomorrow for the new challenge.
