Its the weekend! Time for the NEC Show

Hi everyone! Its the weekend whooop whoop! Time to head on down to the HUGE NEC show in Birmingham, if you take your poppy to the IndigoBlu stand, Kay will pimp it for you! Wish I could make it down to get a pimped poppy but this weekend is taken up with lots of costume making ready for a special event in a couple of weeks at a comic book convention…. yes I am a nerd and will be joining my nerdy friends dressed up as comic book characters!

So today I have for you one of my samples that will be on the display stand. The design brief was to use Kroma on cards with any stamps we liked, I made many samples but this one is my favourite. I kept it to a simple black, red and gold theme.

I used the fabulous IndigoBlu stamping card in Black and White. The white card was painted with the most gorgeous PostBox Red IndigoBlu paint. Then using Kay’s technique I swiped the now red card with Flitter Glu and covered it with a thin layer of Kroma. Heating it carefully with a heat gun to dry it. The piece was then sealed with Slap It On to stop the crack from cracking further or pinging off.

I then stamped and flaked both the Big Butterfly and the Dinkie Flutterby with Autumn Blaze flake and cut them out carefully. I stamped the phrase from the Rococo plate and flaked it with the Chariots of Fire Gold flake, again carefully cutting out. I assembled the whole piece with glue gel to make it 3d and was done.

Don’t forget the new Challenge is still running on the new challenge blog, go take a look and join in! This months challenge seems to be a hard one so more chances to win the prize with everyone being stumped by it!

Thanks for visiting
