Sleeping George

Happy weekend everyone! You still have a few days left to enter this months challenge! Things With Wings.

If you are heading to the Stamp Magic Show on Sunday at the Dome then you will find me taking over the demo table, if you aren’t at the show then you must be at the super retreat and having expert tuition from Kay in person! Did you know that we now do workshops and retreats directly at IndigoBlu HQ? Keep an eye on the webshop for all the workshops that are coming up!

We have some fabulous news for you this weekend, watch this space on Monday and the lovely Nikki will be revealing all in her blog post.

Today I have for you a card made with the gorgeous Sleeping George stamp.

The decorative edging is the back of the bear stamped onto the edge, this could be done in any colour really but I made mine with a female orientation. I stamped the full bear with distress ink and moved the colour around alittle with a damp paintbrush. Separately I stamped the crown part of the image with flitter glu and flaked it, cutting it out and using glue gel to 3D it up. The bear looked like it was floating just stamped into the middle on its own so I water brushed some pink underneath to ground it.

  2. Hi Clare,
I just love this little guy, and I really like how you’ve given him the feminine look. Great idea on the edging too. Have a good weekend – don’t work too hard. xx
