Large Snowflake, not just for Christmas

Hi everyone, it’s almost the weekend! Most people I have spoken to have already received the Christmas Cracker and stamp’s they ordered from Create and Craft. Today I wanted to share a little trick I found with the Large Snowflake stamp while I was playing with it. I made flowers, not only Christmas flowers but summer flowers too! If you saw my blue box on TV then you will have seen it had the snowflake flowers on it. I had wanted to put a picture of the box on this post but it appears in my haste to get it off to Kay for the show I neglected to take some. The next time I head down to HQ I will have camera in hand ready to take a photo. So without further waffling from me here is how to turn a snowflake into a flower……

Here I have stamped out just the centre of the Large Snowflake, below I have marked out where to cut to make two different shaped flowers.

The left one makes a beautiful summer rounded flower, take a ball tool or a bone folder and round the edges bending them up gently to create a 3d flower. The one on the right can be either made into a different summer flower by the same method or pinching each petal down the centre to make a poinsettia.

Enjoy your weekend and don’t forget to enter the new challenge, this months theme is Summer. Also keep an eye open for something coming in oh 3 weeks ish time, but you didn’t hear that from me!
