Its the weekend!

Yayyy its the weekend! We are forecast to have snow tonight but then rain so all the snow should go and we should be all back to normal! As much as I am obsessed with and love the snow, I have had enough of it now! How about you? Because of the snow all my samples for Kay are still here, so I thought I would share one of the new projects with you that should have been on Create & Craft.

My lovely friend Dede showed me how to turn a file folder into an amazing tag book. Here is what I created with her design. I used one of the new stamp plates, Live, Love, Laugh and a tumble glass distress ink with the perfect pan pastel stamping card.

The flower border was done with a old martha stewart punch that has been in my drawer for years.

The edges of the tags and the background paper has been gilded with the Lancashire Rose mega flake

The flowers were coloured with pan pastels and stamped with Versafine ink. I used the technique that Kay has done on the telly before. Colour your substrate with shades of pan pastels that you want to use, then stamp your images and cut out. I again used the perfect pan pastel card stock which is such a dream to work with! It bends beautifully to make your items 3D. To make them 3D I used pinflair glue gel.

Keep safe and warm in this horrid weather and thanks for reading

Clare

  1. Great tag book Clare, love how you’ve done those flowers, thanks for explaining how you made them, never thought of doing it like that. The flakes around the edges of the tags finish them off perfectly.

  2. Lovely project Clare! Great to read what techniques you used as I would never have guessed you used PanPastels/Stamping for the flowers… they look like you had coloured them with alcohol markers. TFS!

Hope the snow’s eased off a little now. It’s all gone here on the IOM. Stay warm.

  5. Such a shame these didn’t make it to TV they would have gone down a storm. Great to see how basic folder idea can be given a clean, polished, sophisticated spin. (Just like you lol). Ps love the typeface and the sentiments
